As I had reported there was a super sized event to be announced and this announcement was made yesterday. Pharrell Williams said that this will be "the biggest party on earth" with the likes of Snoop Dogg, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy, Akon, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, John Mayer, the Foo Fighters, AFI, Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, Damien Rice, Corinne Bailey Rae, Snow Patrol, Keane, Korn, Bloc Party, Duran Duran, Melissa Etheridge, Enrique Iglesias, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Maná,Paolo Nutini and Sheryl Crow signing on to participate. The concerts, called Save Our Selves — The Campaign for a Climate in Crisis (or S.O.S. for short), are aimed at raising public awareness about global warming. So get this---the concert (as stated before) will be held on 7/07/07 on 7 continents. Many more artists, as well as the stadiums hosting the concerts and which bands will perform where, will be announced in about 30 days.

When Gore was at the Grammy's The Chili Peppers apparently confirmed their participation to Gore by whispering "we're in" into his ear on stage at this past Sunday's award show, where he presented them with Rock Album of the Year. Also, Gore met with the Black Eyed Peas, who asked if they could write a theme song for the S.O.S. concerts.

This event looks to reach a television audience of more than 2 billion people in 120 countries. So everyone mark your calendars! This looks like it will be one incredible event to raise the world's consciousness about the environment. And it WILL take the entire world to make it happen. P.S.
