Madonna's 25th Anniversary Is Today!

It may seem like only yesterday but 25 years ago on April 24, 1982, Sire Records honcho Seymour Stein released a single called "EVERYBODY" on Warner Bros. Records by an unknown singer from Rochester, Michigan by the name of Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. To say the world would never be the same is an understatement. The song went on to become a huge dancefloor hit and was heard all over the radio in the Summer of 1982. That little girl from Michigan would go on to become one of the most famous entertainers and cultural icons in history - selling close to 200 million records and remaining a star of enormous magnitude and influence for the next 25 years. She's just getting started. Long Live the Queen and Happy Anniversary to Madonna.

Lourdes Appears To Have A Wee Bit Of Jet Lag

Chaos erupted in a small village in rural Malawi on Tuesday when Madonna and the one-year-old boy she hopes to adopt arrived at the orphanage where she found him.Scores of international and local journalists tried to force their way into the orphanage to get closer to Madonna, and were confronted by some 500 angry orphans who threw stones at them. Orphanage officials attempted to calm the children down, and called two police officers who evicted journalists from the "Home of Hope" at the foot of Mchinji mountain. The US pop star, who is in the country for a three-day trip, was visiting projects she had funded around the country, and was expected to re-unite her prospective son with his biological father.

One Man's Trash, Is Another Man's Art!

Apparently, anything that can be hung on a gallery wall is now considered art - even trash confiscated from Madonna's bins over 10 years ago. Others on display are Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Clint Eastwood, Elizabeth Taylor, John Travolta, Tom Hanks, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The "Trash" exhibition by Bruno Mouron & Pascal Rostain is at the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie in France through June 3, 2007.

Madonna To Strip For Nip/Tuck

As reported in an earlier post that Madonna would be appearing on Nip/Tuck. Now the news which is making headlines is the fact that she will be baring ALL (or as all you can for TV.) The Queen of Pop will prove she still has it at 48 by showing all in the US show about sex-mad plastic surgeons.

A show source said: “Everybody ends up taking their clothes off and usually having sex with Julian McMahon’s character, Dr Christian Troy.
“Madonna has the body of a woman half her age and is bound to be in a nude scene. “She knew that when she agreed to do the show in the first place.”

3 Ladies Who Want To Be Nip/Tucked

Madonna is set to join the cast of hit plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck after confessing she's a big fan of the show. Creator Ryan Murphy reveals he's currently writing a part for the pop superstar. Murphy would like Madonna to play opposite pal co-star Rosie O'Donnell, who has become a regular on the show after hitting the headlines for a sex scene she filmed with Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon last season. Murphy says, "I'm going to write something for Madonna, who is a fan of the show and I would love for her to do something with Rosie." Madonna isn't to be the only big name being considered for upcoming episodes - Nicole Kidman has already signed on for a cameo and McMahon explains his Premonition co-star Sandra Bullock is also interested in a role. He adds, "Sandy said she wanted to come on last year and she didn't. She wants to come on the last episode and she wants to get her whole body done, or something."

Wow, what a season Nip/Tuck is going to be if all these gals are on board! Again, if you haven't gotten hooked on this show, run run to your video store and start catching up on all the episodes. You will be hooked!

Madge Is House Hunting

Madonna hits the street on the Upper East Side yesterday during her house-hunting tour. Among the homes that she toured with brokers a slew of opulent town houses.

The Material Mom is said to have her eye on this 14 700-square-foot East 62nd Street mansion, which features grand entertaining rooms with double-height ceilings, and marble floors, staircases and fireplaces. For her growing family, one floor in the mansion features two children's bedrooms, a playroom, a kitchen, and a nanny's bedroom. The master bedroom has its own floor with a study, two separate bathrooms and a large dressing room.

And while she is out house hunting one of her nannies is out shopping too!

Crown Publishers has bought rights to a new book that will detail the diva behavior of material mama Madonna. The memoir, cheekily titled "Live To Tell: My Life as Madonna's Nanny" (after one of the songstress' early hits), is written by Melissa Dumas. She depicts the queen of pop as an overly strict mother who won't allow anybody to make noise in the house while she's sleeping - "not even running water for showers." Dumas claims she lived in four of Madonna's homes with her and her children during 2005 and 2006, and was forced to keep up with the superstar's meticulous rules, including a complete house ban on all television, newspapers or magazines, and a strict dietary regimen.

Okay, well Madge herself has admitted to most of what the "Nanny" states. So, unless there is more dirt than this, I for one, will not find this to be all that interesting.

It's A B$$CH Fight

Former Culture Club frontman Boy George has renewed his attacks on pop superstar Madonna, insisting she has betrayed her legions of gay fans. Boy George is disgusted the Material Girl adheres to the Jewish mystic offshoot Kabbalah because he finds the faith intolerant of same-sex relationships. He says in a video interview, "I have investigated it and they are homophobic. "I do think it's shocking that somebody who has made so much money out of gay people is now part of an organization which is anti-gay." George previously slammed Madonna on the TV show, "The Madness Of Boy George", branding her "a vile, hideous, horrible human being with no redeeming qualities."

Oh Snap! These are 2 of my fav's. They can't be slammin' each other around. I wouldn't be able to pick a team.

Guess Who Has A Secret Museum?

MADONNA!

The material girl has kept hold of thousands of costumes which she keeps hidden away at an undisclosed location in California. She reveals, "I have an archive museum in a warehouse which houses all the costumes I've worn on stage and in videos - one-of-a-kind pieces made for me and special pieces I've always loved."

That would be a major fabulous day to go through MADONNA's museum. Those clothes must be worth a fortune!

Ritchie Family Does L.A.

Madonna arrives at LAX airport on Saturday night via a flight from London with her hubby Guy Ritchie, 38, and kids Lourdes, 10, Rocco, 6, and David Banda, 17 months.

Look how big Lourdes is getting! She's almost as tall as Madonna. And Rocco, is the show stealer again. He is as cute as ever! Glad to see that this David Banda hoopla has died down so that they can get on with being a family!

U2 Again

As of the 48th Grammys, U2 has now won a total of 21 Grammy Awards. U2 was the big winner last year, taking five awards -- including two of the biggest, album of the year and song of the year. Album of the Year How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.

Gorillaz & Madonna were the opening performance singing a medley of Feel Good Inc. and Hung UP.
