Cagney & Lacey Turns 25

The grande dames of the TV cop show, Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly, better known as Cagney and Lacey, were reunited as the pair celebrated the ground-breaking show's 25th anniversary.

A star-studded party, attended by Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren, was held at the Museum Of Television And Radio to promote a special anniversary DVD.

Both actresses picked up numerous Emmy awards for the controversial show, which tackled heavyweight issues like racism, date rape and alcoholism within a primetime slot.

Tyne, who played Mary Beth Lacey, said of the reunion: "I had promised (Sharon) there would come a day when we wouldn't be photographed together - lying through my teeth, but it still stands as a big deal in both of our careers... now that I'm older and wiser, I'm willing to accept that!"

The pair admit they never imagined the impact the series would have.

"If someone had came up to us and said 'how would you women like to become role models for the 80s?' - how fast we would have run in the opposite direction... I don't think we ever dreamed tonight would ever happen."

And Sharon joked that 25 years on - the show hasn't aged, but she has.

"People recognise my voice first now. They recognise my face, then go 'boy you've changed!'... I say 'yes... thank you'."

The former Spice Girl has reportedly infuriated staff working on the NBC programm - which follows Victoria and husband David's summer US move as David joins the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team - with her rude attitude and arrogant behaviour. A show insider told Britain's Star magazine: 'We think she's full of herself and not very nice. She's very picky, demanding and rude. And she was mean to the assistants, too. 'She waltzes around with her icy attitude. People will walk up to her and say, 'Welcome to America', or, 'Good luck with the move', and she doesn't even stop to talk to them. 'The show is designed to make her a star in the States, but she's dreaming if she thinks that's going to happen. She's coming off as a grade-A bitch!' It is also alleged the show's nervous producers are worried the series will be boring and a major flop. The source added: 'No one knows what to do with her to make the show interesting - she's so boring! Every suggestion the producers make, she rejects.'

With the departure of James Caan & Nikki Cox, Las Vegas needed to fill a void. They look to veteran actor Tom Selleck to take over as the fun-loving and charming owner of the Montecito in a typical Selleckian role. Lots of people don't watch this show. However, I do and love it! Not only do you get great views of the city, you get to spend an hour chuckling at the casts antics. Also, you get to see the mug of Josh Duhamel. What more could you ask for?

Oh & BTW, Porn star Ron Jeremy is delighted that the TV drama Entourage is shooting in his Los Angeles apartment - they have cleaned up five years' worth of bird droppings from his balcony. Jeremy is also pleased he is being paid $500 each day while filming continues, reports TMZ.com. He says, "They are using both of my balconies. "They invited me to come and watch several tapings, and they even fed me. They even babysit my pet tortoise, Cherry." Last week, residents of an apartment complex in the Runyon Canyon area of the city complained their community areas have become a crowded film set since the Entourage crew moved in.

Ian Ziering May Just Well Be The Next Champ!

Cheryl Burke made Dancing with the Stars franchise history by becoming the first professional dancer to win two championships, accomplishing the feat in back-to-back seasons of the hit ABC show. Burke won her first championship with 98 Degrees boy band member Drew Lachey in the second season, and she won her second championship with retired football star Emmitt Smith in the third season. Cheryl Burke's feat has never been done before by anyone in any of the Dancing with the Stars franchises worldwide.
Burke will return to the ballroom on March 19 for Season 4, this time partnered with actor Ian Ziering. "There is an uproar over the fact that Cheryl Burke is coming back yet again for another season of Dancing with the Stars" a source tells Star. "She has won the last two seasons and is quickly becoming a fan favorite. However, she is just a dancer and not a celebrity. Some stars do not think she should be getting this much attention from the fans or judges. They're jealous."

Liam as many of you know was born Tuesday, March 13th. He weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and is 19 1/2inches long. And, I might be a biased mommy but he is so beautiful. I just stare at him in amazement. I can't believe I have been given this unbelievable little gift. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. He is my little angel baby and I had no idea you could love someone you've only known for 4 days this much. But, my heart is jumping out of my chest with love. Mommihood rocks !
