Global Green Pre-Oscar Celebration

Orlando Bloom is building an eco-friendly new house in London. Bloom is encouraging others to follow suit - insisting the simplest of gestures can make a massive difference to the future of the planet.

Speaking at a pre-Oscar party to benefit environmental group Global Green USA, Bloom tells the New York Daily News, "It (the house) is as green as I can make it. It's got solar panels on the roof, energy efficient light bulbs - newer technology basically that is environmentally friendly."

The actor, who will be able to plug in his hybrid car into the 'green house', adds of the difference others can make, "It doesn't have to be overwhelming, there are simple things we can do."

PS. Isn't Orlando's hair a mess? It looks like he just got out of bed! Oh BTW, the "big news" is that Penelope & Orly were hanging out together most of the evening!

James Blunt....

What is it about jeans, t-shirt & leather that makes one think of a true rocker?

Now I have never thought much of James Blunt but of all the men who walked the Red Carpet he personified a musician. He went against the status quo of what appeared to be Business Man's Chic Red Carpet walk. i.e. Ludacris, JT, Akon etc. Now don't get me wrong I appreciate the GQ look over Thug look any day! But, I was lookin' for a musician's edge this evening and he was the only one who seemed to bring it.

By the way I guess any rumors out there that he wasn't with Petra anymore could be put to rest.
