Josh Holloway To Play Gambit?

Josh Holloway who plays conman Sawyer in the cult plane crash TV series Lost, has been approached by studio bosses to play Gambit in X-Men 4. Gambit is a mutant who can charge objects with kinetic energy and make them explode.

Holloway's announcement has confirmed rumors 20th Century Fox are to make another film after the success of the previous three installments.

Holloway said: "I would love to play a superhero. I'd love to wear a cape and tights!"

The hunky star isn't worried about performing his own stunts if he lands the role, because he is a real-life action man.

Bond Gal Amy Winehouse?

Amy Winehouse has reportedly been asked to star as the next Bond girl in Daniel Craig’s upcoming film.

Rumor has it that producer Barbara Broccoli has offered Amy the sought-after role after hearing and falling in love with her latest album. “She’s perfect for the role because she’s the embodiment of the retro glamour of the original movies.”

Note that this is all speculation at this point and no official contracts have been signed.

Julianne Moore & Her Daughter Buying Shoes

Oh & BTW, Julianne Moore and Tom Hanks are going back in time as the unlikely stars of a new Barry Levinson western.

The pair will star in new movie Boone'S Lick, Missouri, which is adapted from a book written by Brokeback Mountain screenwriter Larry McMurtry.

In the new period film, Moore will portray a pioneer woman who falls in love with her brother-in-law, played by Hanks, during a cross-country trip from Missouri to a fort in Wyoming to rejoin her husband. Shooting on Boone's Lick is scheduled to begin later this year.

While Adrian was exuding hotness, his buddy, Kevin Connolly was hanging out with the other hotness known as Leonardo DiCaprio. They were there to promote the flick "‘Gardener Of Eden’. Kevin directed and Leo was the producer.

I guess there was a memo that went out to the boys which said: "Please make sure to wear your blue button down shirt and a black jacket. Also, when they ask to take your photo, make sure NOT to smile." However, Erica Christensen didn't seem to have gotten that particular memo.

The two are there to continue shooting the flick "Fools Gold." Basic premise of the movie is that a new clue to the whereabouts of a lost treasure emerges and helps to rekindle a married couple's sense of adventure and their estranged romance. Premiere is set for February 8, 2008.

Hope it's a good romance comedy. I loved these 2 in How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days!

Nicolas Cage Performs A Stupid Human Trick On David Letterman

Nicolas Cage held his breath for two minutes on David Letterman’s US chat show last night for the first time in more than 30 years. The 43-year-old actor, whose new movie Next opens tomorrow in America, last went without air for 120 seconds when he was 12 and decided to give it another go. Before taking a deep breath, Cage said, "We were talking about the fact my character (in Next) can see two minutes into his own future and I said I can’t do that. "But I do recall when I was 12 I could hold my breath for two minutes. When I was 12. I don’t know if I can do it again, but I will try." While he held his breath, television viewers were treated to the trailer for Next. And when a successful Cage finally emerged for air, he quipped, "I’d like to see Spider-Man do that!"

Next basic premise is Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage) is a Las Vegas magician with the ability to see a few minutes into the future. Seeking to escape government scrutiny, he lives off the grid, performing cheap tricks for meager cash under an assumed name. But when a terrorist group threatens to detonate a nuclear device in Los Angeles, FBI agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) becomes determined to track Cris down and convince him to help stop the attack.
