Alice Horton Retires

Word has spread on the net that Frances Reid (Alice Horton, Days of Our Lives) is in poor health. She is quite frail due to osteoporosis and she is also having complications with dementia. Due to doctors' orders, Reid will no longer appear on the show. Her last episode was in December. Frances Reid turned 93 this past December and is DAYS' longest-running castmember, having been with the show since day one.

Slowly but surely all the great old timers from the soaps are dying. I watched this soap opera with my grandma when I was little. Who is going to replace these wonderful legends?
